Crossman Acquisitions recently secured planning permission for an infill development comprising four high quality dwellings on the edge of Frome. Utilising access from an existing cul-de-sac road, careful thought has been given to the layout and scale of the scheme in order to ensure that the eaves and ridge heights of the new properties are similar to surrounding development.

Moreover, the approved design utilises gable roofs, dormers, and traditional entrance porches, drawing from the language of the adjacent houses and responding to the palette of materials characteristic of the local area and supported in the Frome Town Design Statement.

In making their decision, Somerset Council recognised the sustainability credentials of the site, being only a short distance from the attractive town centre and its amenities along with maximising the opportunity for using energy efficient and renewable technologies within their overall design and build.
