Crossman Acquisitions are delighted to have secured planning permission for four detached dwellings on land to the rear of Upper New Road in Cheddar.

Having had positive pre-application discussions with Somerset Council, Crossman Acquisitions were able to overcome initial concerns raised by officers over the quantum of development and residential amenity impacts associated with it being back land development and being enclosed by development on all three sides.

In being designed to a high standard, using good quality materials, officers considered that the four new dwellings would harmonise the existing built form with its green spaces and associated tree planting. Notwithstanding the constrained nature of the site, Crossman Acquisitions were able to achieve a 23.9% biodiversity net gain demonstrating that the proposed development would comply with all relevant development plan policies, thereby constituting sustainable development.

Another fantastic result for Crossman Acquisitions!
