After a three year determination process, extended largely because of nutrient neutrality issues, Crossman Acquisitions have been successful at appeal securing planning permission for 95 dwellings at Tatworth, South Somerset.

Despite efforts by Crossman Acquisitions Ltd to devise a bespoke phosphate mitigation strategy, and years of collaborative work with the officers at South Somerset Council to secure a positive recommendation, planning committee refused permission.

In allowing the appeal, Crossman Acquisitions are pleased that the Inspector acknowledges that the proposed development is sustainable, would satisfy development plan policy and would play an important role in meeting the development needs of Tatworth, whilst also aiding the Somerset Council in its requirement to maintain a five-year housing land supply.

The objective of Crossman Acquisitions has always been to deliver a sustainable addition to Tatworth, with a development that has been carefully tailored to meet the needs of the settlement. For these reasons Crossman Acquisitions is delighted with the outcome of the appeal.
